Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. They explain what this insurance website does, what a sample guide is not, and how a real policy is formed.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the website guiamunicipio.com, including its pages, sample guides, quotation forms, mailing-list forms, and any note you leave in the on-page chat. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please leave the site.

A policy, certificate, or premium agreement is a separate contract. It is formed only when a schedule is issued in your name and any required payment is accepted. Nothing on these pages, including sample monthly figures, is itself a contract of insurance.

2. Who we are

The site is published by Guia Municipio, a protection practice that explains and arranges life, health, home, motor, travel, and business cover, and that supports holders when they notify a claim. References to “we”, “us”, and “the desk” mean Guia Municipio. References to “you” mean the person reading or using the site.

You may write to care@guiamunicipio.com about these terms. We do not publish a telephone line or a street address on this website.

3. What this website does

The site describes how cover works, introduces our guides, shows illustrated pricing shapes, collects quotation and contact requests in your browser, and explains how to join or leave our email list. Forms are client-side. Submitting a form stores a copy in your own browser storage so you can see that it was checked, and it displays a confirmation. It does not transmit the form to our systems by itself.

If you want a person to receive your details, send them by email to care@guiamunicipio.com. The forms on this website check your entries in the browser and then show a confirmation. A guide replies by email. The confirmation itself is not a policy and not a premium.

4. Quotes and sample guides

Prices shown as monthly illustrations, including figures on the pricing page, are teaching examples. They are not a quotation, not a binder, and not a promise that cover will be offered at that figure. A personal quotation depends on the people named, the property or vehicle, health information you choose to share, the sum insured, the excess, the term, and the underwriting rules of the contract being placed.

A quotation expires on the date written on it. Cover does not begin because you completed a website form. Cover begins only on the start date stated in a schedule after required conditions are met.

If you use “Retrieve a saved quote”, the page looks only at quotations stored in this browser. Another device will not have that copy.

5. Policies and contracts

The schedule, the wording, the endorsements, and any certificate together form the contract once issued. If a page on this website disagrees with the schedule, the schedule prevails. You should read the schedule before you rely on a benefit, especially limits, excess, waiting periods, named persons, and exclusions.

We may refuse to place a risk we cannot describe honestly. Refusal is not a comment on your character. It means the contract we can access does not fit the facts you gave us.

6. Eligibility

You must be able to enter a contract and you must give information that is true to the best of your knowledge. Cover for another adult requires their authority. Cover that names a child is arranged by a parent or legal guardian and is not an invitation for a minor to use this website unsupervised.

Some benefits are unavailable for certain activities, occupations, vehicles, buildings, or health histories. Those limits will be stated in the quotation or the wording. Do not assume a benefit exists because a similar product advertised it.

7. Your responsibilities

You agree to give complete answers, to update us if a material fact changes before the start date or during the period of cover, and to pay premiums in the way the schedule describes. Material facts include, where relevant, who drives a vehicle, how a building is occupied, previous losses, and health information requested on an application.

You agree not to use the site to send unlawful, misleading, or abusive content, and not to attempt to break, scrape, or overload the pages. You are responsible for keeping your own email account secure. We will treat a message from your address as yours unless you tell us it was misused.

8. Claims guidance

If a loss occurs, notify us as soon as the wording requires. Late notice can affect a claim. We will tell you which photographs, invoices, medical papers, or repair notes are needed. We do not guarantee that a claim will be paid. Payment depends on the contract, the facts, and the assessment of the insurer on the risk.

Do not admit liability to another person, dispose of damaged property, or authorise a large repair until the claim instructions say you may, unless emergency action is needed to prevent further damage or to protect safety.

Fraudulent or exaggerated claims can void cover and may be reported to the appropriate authorities. Honest mistakes should be corrected as soon as you notice them.

9. Premiums, fees, and changes

The premium, any administration amount, and the excess will be shown on the personal quotation and the schedule. Taxes or levies that a contract must collect will be itemised rather than hidden inside a slogan. We may correct an obvious pricing error before inception. If we do, you may walk away with no cover and no charge.

Mid-term changes, such as adding a driver or raising a sum insured, can change the premium. The change is effective when we confirm it in writing, not when you first mention it in a website note.

10. Cancellation

Cooling-off and cancellation rights are those written in the schedule and the applicable rules for that contract. Some premiums are earned by time on risk. A claim during the period can affect whether any return premium is due. Website sample guides do not create a cancellation right.

You may stop marketing emails at any time on the unsubscribe page or by writing to care@guiamunicipio.com. Leaving the mailing list does not cancel a policy.

11. Intellectual property

The Guia Municipio name, shield logo, page design, and original text on this site belong to Guia Municipio or are used with permission. You may not copy the logo or reproduce long portions of the site for a commercial purpose without written consent. You may share links to our pages.

Photographs on the site are used to illustrate families, homes, travel, care, and work. They are not pictures of specific policy holders unless a caption says so.

12. Acceptable use

You may not use the site to harvest addresses, to plant malicious code, to impersonate a guide, or to present our sample figures as your own official premium. You may not frame the site in a way that suggests a false partnership.

We may suspend access to a form if it is being misused. Because the forms run in your browser, the practical step is usually to ignore abusive email that pretends to be a completed form.

13. Third-party links and sharing

Social icons share a link to this website through the network you choose. Those networks have their own terms. A link to another site is not an endorsement of that site’s products. We are not responsible for third-party content.

14. Disclaimers

The site is provided for general information. Insurance decisions depend on your facts and on a contract. We do not promise uninterrupted access, that every browser will display the pages perfectly, or that illustrated figures will still be typical next season.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude implied warranties that are not expressly written in a schedule issued to you. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such a limit is prohibited.

15. Limitation of liability

If we are liable for a website problem that is not part of an issued policy, our liability is limited to the direct loss you suffer and, where a cap is allowed, to the amount you paid us for the website service in the previous three months, which for a free information site may be nothing. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from your reliance on a sample guide instead of a personal schedule.

A claim under an insurance contract is governed by that contract, not by this website cap.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Guia Municipio against losses that arise from information you knew was false, from your misuse of the site, or from your infringement of another person’s rights, except to the extent the loss was caused by our own proven fault.

17. Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. If these terms and the Privacy Policy both speak about a mailing list or a form, they should be read together. The Privacy Policy tells you what a form asks for. These terms tell you what the form does not do by itself.

18. Communications

We contact holders and enquirers by email at the address they give us. You agree that written email is a sufficient method for quotations, changes, and notices about this website. Please keep your address current. Check that messages claiming to be from us come from care@guiamunicipio.com.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. The version you see is the version that applies to new use of the site. A policy already issued continues under its own wording. If a change is significant we will also mention it in a holder email where we have an address and permission to write.

20. Governing approach and disputes

These website terms are interpreted under the laws that apply to the protection practice in the place where the relevant contract, if any, is issued, without relying on conflict rules that would point elsewhere, and without naming a single territory on this page. Website disagreements should first be raised with care@guiamunicipio.com so we can try to resolve them. If a policy dispute arises, the schedule may name a complaints path that you should use before any formal proceeding.

If a court finds one clause unenforceable, the remaining clauses stay in effect.

21. Entire website notice

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole notice about use of the website. They do not modify a schedule. Headings are for convenience. Words like “including” mean “including without limitation”. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver.
